What We Do

We work alongside communities and local fire brigades to provide hands-on training, workshops, and practical support tailored to local landscapes and priorities.

From crew organization to emergency preparedness planning and prescribed fire preparation, our programs focus on skills that can be applied immediately.

Our approach recognizes that fire is a recurring part of many landscapes.

By combining firefighter experience with local knowledge, these efforts reduce risk, improve readiness, and support safe response when fire is present.

Why It
Matters

Across the Americas, many communities live in landscapes where fire is a recurring reality.

Preparation, local knowledge, and practical skills all shape how safely people can live with fire over time.

When local experience is combined with hands-on training and shared knowledge, communities are better able to safeguard lives, homes, and the landscapes people depend on.

Lasting resilience comes from ongoing preparation, not crisis response.

By supporting skill-building, local leadership, and informed land stewardship, we contribute to coexistence with wildfire long-term.
